Workday Engagement Manager

Position Overview

The Engagement Manager role at The Groove embodies dynamic leadership, exceptional project management skills, and a passion for mentoring, all aimed at achieving success for clients, the company, and the team. This position involves hands-on development of crucial project deliverables, such as charters, project/staffing plans, and issue logs, while ensuring robust client engagement and effective management of budget and resources for project success and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master and consistently apply The Groove's Implementation Methodology across all engagements.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the Workday product suite, focusing on HCM, and/or Financials.
  • Conduct thorough project planning and ensure appropriate staffing.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to consultants involved in implementations.
  • Collaborate with client project managers to identify and resolve issues impacting project scope and timelines.
  • Mentor project team members, offering feedback and fostering their development in client engagement and project delivery.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within the specified budget outlined in the SOW.
  • Assist in transitioning clients from professional services to product support.
  • Ensure clients can serve as positive references post-implementation.
  • Maintain timely and consistent project communications.
  • Ensure project artifacts and deliverables are completed as per requirements.
  • Engage in the sales cycle as required, gathering requirements, developing delivery approaches, and formulating proposals/SOWs.
  • Manage multiple product implementations concurrently in the Project Manager role.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Information Systems, or related field.
  • Previous experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Knowledge of web service technologies and Enterprise Resource Planning.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and analytical mindset, with superb Excel skills.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, juggling multiple responsibilities with ease.
  • Ability to work autonomously and travel up to 50% when needed.
  • Background in HR, Finance, or Payroll operations is beneficial. PMP certification is a plus.
